CEHD is hiring an executive assistant to provide support for the center’s director

CEHD is hiring a proficient, proactive executive assistant to provide high-level, confidential support for the center’s director. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position of high responsibility with a wide-ranging variety of work.

The executive assistant handles day-to-day activities to support director James J. Heckman’s work, while proactively managing processes for long-term administration. Responsibilities include screening, triaging and responding to information flow to and from the director; strategically managing the director’s schedule, commitments, and deadlines; managing speaking and media requests; making travel arrangements processing payments and reimbursements; stewarding relationships with the center’s partners and supporters; and more.

The assistant also manages the weekly Lifecycle Working Group workshop, securing speakers, arranging their travel, booking space and catering, and recruiting an audience, and may take part in arranging other events for the director.

The successful candidate is adept at juggling a substantial workload, competing priorities, complex problems, and tight deadlines with initiative, independence, and a calm and courteous demeanor.
