Grace Hammond

Director for Operations

Grace Hammond is the Director for Operations at the Center for the Economics of Human Development. She works closely with the center’s senior leadership to support and enhance emerging research through establishing operational standards and strategic direction, and overseeing the center’s financial, grant and contract, and human resources administration.

As a proud alumna of the University of Chicago, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Human Development, she finds it incredibly enriching to promote the research priorities of the center while further pursuing her interest in the field. Prior to joining the center, Grace served six years at the Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics where she was involved in all levels of work required to run a research center.

Grace loves lakeside living and spends every weekend, no matter the weather, enjoying the sunshine, fresh air, and cool waters of Lake Michigan.
