Rafeh is a student in the Economics MAPSS program at the University of Chicago. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 2016 with a double major in Mathematics and Economics. His current research focuses on characterizing mobility across generations to decompose the effects of family, neighborhoods, education and policies. His background involves primarily labor economics, with an emphasis on post-secondary education.
Rafeh has lived in Maryland, Arkansas, Pakistan and Canada. He enjoys running, playing tennis and reading.
