Fanmei Xia

Fanmei earned her Master of Public Policy at University of Chicago in 2021. With a background in Applied Psychology and Human Development, Fanmei has worked on projects related to education and public policy matters. Research assistantships at the Department of Population Science and Policy as well the Center for Spatial Science have synthesized her interests in human development and quantitative modeling. Driven by her passion for social equity, Fanmei aspires to create a sustainable environment that is conducive to children’s growth and development.

In her free time, Fanmei tutors K-12 students from the Southside of Chicago, and works on jigsaw puzzles.
