HCEO Dissertation Prize Application

HCEO is offering a $1,500 prize for the best dissertation in on a topic related to one of HCEO’s six networks. In addition to the monetary award, the winner will present their work to the Center for the Economics of Human Development, HCEO directors, and University of Chicago faculty. Winning submissions will be selected by the HCEO directors.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to current doctoral students and recent graduates. To be eligible, a candidate must have a graduation date or scheduled their defense between June 2022 and September 2023. If a candidate has not graduated by the submission deadline, he or she must include a letter from an adviser assuring graduation by September 2023.
