His research interests lie in public economics, labor economics, urban economics, health, and education. His PhD work focused on integrating economic models of fertility into well-established models of investment in children and human development and studied the role of gender and race in labor market outcomes. His most recent research has focused on the mechanisms behind inequality in income, human capital, and health across and over generations.
