CEHD\u2019s research program is located in Hyde Park, Chicago and is guided by Professor James J. Heckman. CEHD\u2019s research portfolio includes interrelated and interdisciplinary projects and initiatives which promote a thorough empirical understanding of human flourishing, social mobility, and creating and measuring skills. CEHD\u2019s current work considers both creative and theoretical studies of family and neighborhood dynamics as well as innovative empirical studies on the general topic. The postdoctoral scholar will conduct empirical research on the broad themes of this group in consultation with faculty mentors and other senior scholars.<\/p>\n<p>Compensation will be commensurate with experience and in accordance with institutional policies. Comprehensive benefits plans will be available. Unique data sets are available, most notably those on Chinese skill development. Research\/travel support may be available for projects in close alignment with the Center\u2019s research agenda. Terms and start dates are negotiable. Applications are considered on a rolling basis. Three-year arrangements have proven to be the most productive, and permanent, longer-term positions are available.
