Sylvi Kuperman\u2019s research tenure at the Center for the Economics of Human Development began in 2014. She is currently focused on the measurement of skills during middle childhood that predict career interests, health and wellbeing, and conducting mixed-methods studies of the Perry Preschool Program and Carolina Abecedarian Projects. She previously analyzed non-cognitive factors related to student success and engagement in Higher Education, interviewed early childhood educators from Perry and ABC, studied the Municipal Early Childhood Schools of Reggio Emilia, and served as project manager for the study design and implementation of ChinaREACH. She is especially interested in environmental and neuropsychological processes that shape social cognitive development, achievement-orientation, self-regulation, and engagement in learning.<\/p>\n

Sylvi received a master\u2019s degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, a bachelor\u2019s degree with Honors in Psychology from University of Illinois, and a secondary education teaching certificate at National Louis University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
