Philip is pursuing a PhD in economics at the University of Chicago. He is a labor economist whose research centers on the burgeoning field of genoeconomics: the crossroads between applied microeconomics and statistical genomics. In particular, he is interested in combining both scientific and economic data to deepen our understanding of the decisions and processes that shape human capital development. His dissertation uses structural and reduced-form approaches to investigate the interplay between genes and household decision-making during adolescence, and their implications for educational attainment. He holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in finance and a master\u2019s degree in economics from the University of British Columbia.<\/p>\n
