Zezheng “Jason” Lin, MS-CAPP Candidate (RA 2026 – present) is pursuing his Master of Science in Computational Analysis and Public Policy at the Harris School of Public Policy and is a T.C. Young Scholar (sole awardee, 2025 cohort) and Point Foundation Persistence Scholar (2026 Cohort). With core coursework waived, he has completed PhD-level training in Applied Econometrics, Formal Theory, machine learning, and spatial science.

His peer-reviewed publications include work in Social Science & Medicine, along with research on fine-scale PM2.5 exposure inequality and the GIS-based measurement pipelines that link environmental exposures to social stratification at high spatial resolution. He has additional public health and large language model manuscripts under review and in major revision, including work on the governance of medical misinformation on social platforms.

Before Chicago, Jason held research and policy positions at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. He builds audit-ready data pipelines in Python and R for multi-source administrative and geospatial data, covering harmonization, record linkage, quality control, and reproducible documentation.
