CEHD is hiring a driven, mission-oriented Scientific Project Manager to support its variety of research projects. This is a dynamic, impactful position of high responsibility with a wide-ranging variety of work.

The Scientific Project Manager at the Center for the Economics of Human Development will play a key role in supporting its variety of research projects. This position will be foundational in the generation of best-in-class research. They will interface with the staff and researchers of the Center to promote cross-project communication and coordination in all research-related matters. They will support scientific project management of evolving projects and field experiments. They will support the dissemination of research by generating tables/figures as part of presentations and publications. They will be expected to keep current on related best practices and new technologies. They will consider project leaders and research assistants as internal clients. They will partner with external units (e.g., Social Science Research Council, Institutional Review Board, University of Chicago Research Administration) on security procedures and/or audits.

The job participates in scientific research projects. Ensures compliance of research activities with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Writes articles, reports and manuscripts. Assists in drafting presentations on research findings.
