Zhe Yang graduated from UC Davis in 2017 with a Ph.D. in Economics. His research interests include applied microeconomics, labor economics, family economics, and child development. Recently, he has worked on several projects using the Mianzhu data, focusing on topics such as the role of personality traits and cognitive skills in economic preferences, personality traits and STEM outcomes, and the complementarity between parental time and money as inputs in producing child human capital.
Prior to his Ph.D., he obtained a B.S. in Physics and M.A. in Economics from Peking University.
