CEHD is Hiring Post-Doctoral Scholars
The Center for the Economics of Human Development (CEHD) at the University of Chicago is actively seeking Post-Doctoral Scholars interested in the economics of creating and measuring skills. Scholars are expected to conduct empirical collaborative work on one (or more) focused projects. Descriptions for past and ongoing projects can be found on the Center’s website. Scholars can propose new independent research projects consistent with the Center’s broad aims.
Unique data sets on long-term experimental evaluations are available and Scholars will have access to high quality graduate and undergraduate research assistants. Post-Doctoral Scholars have access to seminars and classes at the University of Chicago, have opportunities to meet with senior scholars, and have been co-authors on papers connected to their work. Many have gone on to regular faculty positions at top universities.
The position offers salary and health benefits commensurate with skills, training, and responsibility. There are opportunities for travel to present and/or collaborate. Terms and start dates are negotiable.Two or three-year arrangements have proven to be the most productive in defining and executing projects.
