Viren de Jeu

Viren de Jeu is a rising senior at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. He is interested in the intersection of mathematics, economics, and public policy. During the 2025–2026 school year, he further developed these interests by taking undergraduate economics courses at the University of Chicago.

This past school year, Viren founded his high school’s Innovators Club, where he has inspired students by organizing school-wide guest speaker events. Featured speakers have included Lori Lightfoot and Ethan Bueno de Mesquita.

In his free time, Viren enjoys photography and soccer. He is a national award-winning photojournalist and has been a member of his high school’s varsity soccer team since his freshman year.
