Aya El Bissati

LAB School Summer Intern

Aya El Bissati is a rising senior at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. She is a member of the U-High swim and dive team and is a board member of the Muslim Students Association and BRAVE (Being Racially Aware and Valuing Ethnicity). She also serves as an IMPACT Leader to help inspire and motivate people to act for collective transformation.

Outside of school, she performs Hungarian folk dance and enjoys exploring downtown. She also loves creating crafts and relaxing at the beach, especially at the Point.

Aya is excited to intern at CEHD to learn how research can create positive change and support human growth.
