Qian Tian

Research Assistant (Graduate Student, Masters of Public Policy)

Qian Tian is a Graduate Research Assistant at CEHD. Qian has a B.A. in Economics from UC Berkeley and is currently a first-year MPP student at Harris School of Public Policy at UChicago.  Qian is currently assisting Andres Hojman on the availability changes of the preschool education starting from the early 1960s.

During her time at UC Berkeley, she worked for International Rescue Committee at Oakland to deal with the immigrants and refugees issues around the San Francisco Area.

Qian is interested in the interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the relationships between children’s cognitive skills and non-cognitive skills, and the relationship impact on their life development. She is also interested in the communication level between the inside parental education and outside preschool education to the influence of children’s long-term development.

During her free time, Qian likes to join all kinds of adventure activities, such as aviating, skydiving, horseback riding, skiing, and etc.
