Kevin Shaw is the Executive Assistant to Prof James J. Heckman and the Center Administrator for the Center for the Economics of Human Development (CEHD) at the University of Chicago. He provides executive-level support to the Center’s leadership and oversees administrative operations that advance its research, educational programs, and collaborative initiatives.

Prior to joining CEHD, he held executive support roles at Washington University in St. Louis, serving both the Chair of Pathology & Immunology at the School of Medicine and the Senior Associate Dean in the McKelvey School of Engineering. He also served as the Senior Administrative Assistant in Princeton University’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, where he supported internationally recognized scholars and faculty.

Outside of work, he and his wife share a passion for sports, often spending their evenings watching games together with their dog by their side. They also enjoy relaxing at home with a good movie, whether it’s a new release or a timeless classic.
