Goya Razavi is a PhD Candidate at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy. He is an applied microeconomist with interests at the intersection of labor, urban and education economics. His research investigates the determinants of socio-economic inequality to inform the design of public policies aimed at fostering social mobility. To that end, he builds on frontier econometric methods and rich administrative datasets. Goya holds a BSc in Economics and MSc in Philosophy of the Social Sciences from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to his PhD, he contributed to policy analysis for the European Commission and the United Nations.
