Fact: Breastfeeding and human milk are critically important to the health of mothers and infants, and consequently, the world population. While this is indeed a true statement, there are many challenges, misconceptions and emotions surrounding breastfeeding, which hinder the research and distribution of expert information into this very important field.

On January 7, as part of the tenth anniversary celebration of the University of Chicago Center in Beijing, CEHD Director James J. Heckman will present an overview of CEHD’s work on the China REACH project.

On February 16, CEHD Executive Director Alison Baulos will present CEHD research on the importance of investing in early childhood education, as part of a Marathon County Early Years Coalition event. 

CEHD seeks a LaTeX and Beamer expert with flexible, often short-notice availability (Central Time), with needs concentrated on weekends. The main suite of tasks focus on implementing edits to LaTeX documents obtained from handwritten comments and notes, as well as editing or creating slides (in PowerPoint or Beamer). This is an ideal arrangement for a student seeking a consistent, part-time, and long-term evening and weekend commitment.
