Professor Heckman to Lecture at the University of Chicago Center in Beijing 10th Anniversary Celebration

On January 7, as part of the tenth anniversary celebration of the University of Chicago Center in Beijing, CEHD Director James J. Heckman will present an overview of CEHD’s work on the China REACH project. Joining Professor Heckman to discuss the project are Lu Mai, the Vice Chairman of the China Development Research Foundation (CDRF), Jin Zhou, CEHD Research Associate, and Amanda Woodward, Dean of the Social Sciences Division at UChicago.

The Rural Education and Child Health (China REACH) project is an innovative, large scale randomized control trial (RCT) designed to evaluate the impact of early childhood parenting treatments for at-risk families in rural China using a home visit delivery model. China REACH is an international collaboration between Dr. Lu Mai’s team at CDRF and Professor Heckman’s team at CEHD.
